Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Buy Now

So, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is a game that looked good because of all the 5/4 star reviews it kept getting here. I decided to buy it and have some fun.

I should have gone with my first impressions of the game and returned it.

At first I hated it. It was frustrating and way too simple. It got better, with better designed demons in the Fusion option and an interesting storyline. It scopes 7 long days where the player eats away 30 minutes with every action they decide to take.

The story takes a long time to pick up, and once I got to that point, the battles where so repetitive that I just started skipping them for the story, even though I didn't want to, I just couldn't stand another 30-45 minute battle!

And the totally anti-Christian message is far more extreme that I expected.

I've only been able to unlock 5 playable characters at any time. How boring.

In battle, you choose from a limited range where you want to move, then the enemy moves, then you, on and on, then you fight. This was one of the lamest things for me; the enemy sprites don't even move when they attack!!! On the actual movement field, a very simple 3D sprite bobs up and down and moves forwards backwards, left or right. But in the actual combat, all the little pictures of the enemies do is come forward quickly or recede. It is so lame. You can't even see your characters, just the enemy art in front of you.

There is no exploration, anyone hoping for a good-looking walk-around game (from the 3D screenshots Amazon provided) will be SO disappointed.

I gave this game 1 star because the battles just plain kill it with boredom.Get more detail about Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor.
