This game is fun and also strangely addictive. You are given a few beams, some balls and occasionally some strange carts, to build something which will guide a ball to hit a button. The only force you have is gravity though, so you have to really think about how to accomplish the task with the tools provided. It becomes very addictive as you work your way through the puzzles. It is a nice break from violent, in-your-face games and requires only your knowledge of how gravity works. (The box mentions knowledge of physics several times, but don't let that scare you away - it's not like re-visiting your high-school physics class.) Buying Rock Throne Drum Stool

As others have mentioned, this stool is only $30, so no one should expect the same quality as a true drum stool one would purchase from a bona fide music shop. However, the manufacturers should make it clear that this stool is designed for little ones, not for grown men. Perhaps they don't think grown men are or should be playing video games! No matter how tightly I tightened the nut that holds the legs up, the legs would collapse out (thereby sinking the stool down) when I sat on it. The cushioning is flimsy and completely compresses, so I end up essentially sitting on a hard plastic plate. I should mention here that I am a big guy, but not overweight. This game I almost... have no complaints. The only thing that does get old is towards the middle of this storyline almost everyone turns into symbiotes and you have to wade through them to get to destinations, fight them (sometimes in air) and they do get bothersome. My other complaint is when you beat the game it does not allow you to go back into the city to complete the sub-missions or try and get the little collector tokens anymore. Tropico 3

I only played the demo and about an hour was enough to realize that this game is worse than the original. There are things that the first one got right, and that is great music, funny satire, and good game play. The decent things about the Haemimont Games version are all shamelessly ripped off from Tropico 1. The descriptions could have been done by a third grader, I mean seriously, no imagination. The only thing that is a slight improvement is the graphics, but everything looks the same, no real creative changes except for an annoying menu and unbearable announcer. Do not waste your time with this game. At least the original Tropico had a latin style that was authentic and not insulting. This game doesn't get it right and is offensive and shamelessly targets the latino demographic without the fun... NASCAR 09 Immediately

Well I was waiting for this years installment to come out to write a NASCAR review, but that's not going to happen any time soon. This game was a must buy for me because I buy it every year. NASCAR 08 was terrible in my opinion and I hoped that EA would change their way of thinking this year. By far this game exceeds the previous installment. The actual racing is nicely refined, giving veterans of the series a more challenging experience while still giving the rookie a chance. There is an opening race where you set up your skill level, actually the game provides its estimate of what you should pick, I chose the veteran driver setting, but if you're a rookie I advise you don't choose it. The game play is fast and furious. Even if you've found the perfect set up for a track and saved the next time around the track will change and you're back to square one just like in real life. I wish they had a tutorial for the setups to help me adjust my car better. I simply adjust air pressure, wedge, and the track bar the rest of the set up is a mystery to me. The career mode is lacking though. There is really no interaction with the team you chose. You can't communicate with team mates or even see who your teammates are. There are no driver changes; everyone is the same every year. There is no trophy room to see your hard earned possessions. The contracts are stupid; a team dropped me a three time champion because I didn't qualify in the top 20 one race. You also can't run more than one series at a time you have to choose which one to run at the beginning of the season. Also I liked in previous years where you could build up your garage and team, and even price your own merchandise. All that has been taken away, you can't even check your stats for the previous year. Come on EA what were you thinking in the career mode. Overall the only choice right now and the game play is smooth enough, but the lack of split-screen still pisses me off.

Presentation- The game has an interactive Jeff Gordon to talk to you as you progress through your career which is nice. The music is a mix of country and rock to accommodate both music groups. The ability to save and watch your replays is nice. 4.5/5

Graphics- It's the same every year. They get a little better. There is nice dirt on your screen when you go through the grass. The damage element needs to be more elaborate, you can't really tear up your car that much. The normal cars look great, but your created cars are missing the nice polished look the other drivers have. The inside camera view is very well done. The stats you can out on while driving really help you adjust the car, though they hurt the realism of the game, I love the tire wear gauges. 4.3/5

Game play- The overall driving is a lot of fun. You actually feel like your driving a stock car. There are a few problems, like the super speedways. If you start 1st you will pull away and never look back, which doesn't happen in real life. The cars actually handle like real cars and don't always make the corner. You have to be precise in this game because like in real NASCAR if you mess up you're going to be in the wall. It has a simulator feel to it unlike any previous game in the franchise. 4.7/5

Story- The career is bare bones and has a lot of problems that I have stated above. The racing really brings you back not the career itself. I've finished 6 seasons and I'm beginning my seventh. It's nice to have a career to keep you playing, but it should have been better developed. 3.5/5

Lasting Appeal- This game has kept my interest for two years now as I await Gran Tourismo 5 which will have NASCAR as one of its series. There is a lack of career options, but it is fun to race and I love this game despite its flaws. 5/5

The Verdict- If you like NASCAR I recommend this game whole heartily. It will be a long time until someone makes a full forced NASCAR game again. GT5 will have the NASCAR series, but its not the focus of the game. This game was a huge leap over NASCAR 08. If you don't mind bad graphics I recommend either NASCAR Thunder 2004 or NASCAR 06: Total Team Control, they have the whole package for their time. NASCAR 09 was a nice effort, lets just hope its not the last. Overall 4.4/5

As soon as I saw the preview for this game, I knew I HAD to have it! So eventually, my parents got it for me, and I've been addicted to it ever since!

You start out as this girl named Kate, who inherits her father's store, a small little boutique in town. At first, it is very small, but it's a lot of fun to help the customers out. Once you complete your goals, (like selling 5 pastries or helping out the celebrity, Ashley) you'll be offered new ones and your store will slowly expand into more areas, like a jewelery shop, and a flower shop.

While retrieving the the right item for your customers is surprisingly fun, it's even more fun to make your own cakes, perfumes, necklaces, even stuffed animals- and give them to the customer. You have to follow certain instructions, (such as there has to have the color red in it, but it has to be chocolate flavored) but it's still highly customizable, and it's very amusing to come up with strange new combinations. Also, you always get to sign something. You could put your own signature, or you could put "Kate," but I usually draw little pictures.

What's also fun is that you can man the cash register yourself, or have your cashier do it. But I usually do it myself because it's a fun mini-game. Anyway, the customers will also sometimes ask you to wrap up what they bought, and the way you wrap it is surprisingly accurate. It's also fun to choose the paper and the bow. You can also change the floor color, (well, really just the shade: light, medium, or dark of whatever color the floor is) and you choose where to display things.

Also, there's a surprisingly amusing storyline, and you actually have a competitor!

The only drawback is that you are always doing assignments, which means staying in one part of your boutique only, trying to sell a certain item. Yep, no "free mode." But, there is no time limit to complete a task, so I usually just ignore the tasks and do my own thing, since I have already beat the game.

All in all, this is a great game, and by far the best imagine game I've ever played. (And I've played quite a few) So, if your thinking that you shouldn't buy this game because it might not be worth it, take it from me: BUY IT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Get more detail about Imagine: Boutique Owner.

Purchase Medal of Honor: Heroes 2

I have been playing Medal of Honor games since the PS1 days and this is my favorite iteration in the long running franchise. Mainly do in part to the excellent work of IR aiming. It does offer dead zone customization and other features to customize the controls to your liking.

I really enjoyed the single player campaign. It is short and offers a few challenges along the way. There is also ARCADE mode which takes you through the campaign in a light gun/rail shooter experience. While ARCADE mode is not as fun as the full fledged campaign it is still fun to jump in once in a while.

The graphical quality is good but not great. This is a port of a PSP game but to get it as good looking as they did on a big screen is pretty damned good. Sound is really good also. The guns sound awesome.

The online works superb and I have had no lag whatsoever in the year I have been playing this game. I do prefer Call of Duty's online but when I am taking a break from COD, I pop this game in and play it for a few hours online. Also note it is pretty impressive EA's developers were able to cram 32 person online.

Sonic Unleashed

First of all, I'd like to say that I've been a fan of Sonic since Christmas of 1991 and have been a fan of the franchise throughout the 90's. Sonic Unleashed, like the other Sonic games that have broken into the "3D" generation of game consoles, is really unpleasant.

The graphics are pretty nice and the whole thing with Sonic becoming a "Werehog" and going around slashing and punching bad guys is pretty fun, but that's all there is to say that's positive about this game.

While it may seem unfair to target this particular Sonic game for this upcoming flaw, but I feel it's legit. The biggest problem with this game is the 3D environment. Sorry, but I truly feel that Sonic wasn't meant for a 3D environment since it's extremely difficult to move really fast while collecting as much rings as possible in this type of environment since it's much easier to die and since it's easy to veer off your desired path, it's much harder to collect rings. While most video games in the last 8-10 years have done away with the "limited life" system so ubiquitous in the first three game console generations, it's still in this game and it gets on your nerves because you're gonna die A LOT.

The tallying system at the end of each level really gets on my nerves because in the "classic" Sonic games, the tallying system just tallied your numeric score and if you got a high score, you'd get a continue. However, the tallying system in Sonic Unleashed is atrocious because the game expects you to accomplish much more difficult levels in a timely manner and has the nerve to actually grade you (using letters A through F) at the end. Isn't it good enough that I came out alive? Just give me a numeric score, don't grade me like a strict university professor.

Aside from the 3D layout and harsh tallying system, I was stuck on one level where you're on top of the Tornado (piloted by Tails, of course) and Eggman has launched a giant robot thingy firing guided bombs at you. I DETEST this level because in order to shoot down the incoming bombs, each projectile is targeted with an icon of either the A, B, X, or Y buttons above them and you have to press the right button in a really short time in order to fire the missiles. This is horrendous because you're in such a panic, you're just mashing buttons, hoping that you hit the right ones since you don't have any time to think. Wouldn't it be more convenient if there was just one button to fire missiles or just have a machine gun and point it at the projectiles? At that point, I quit playing and returned the copy to Family Video.

After playing this and the 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog games, it's no surprise to me as to why the newer Sonic games aren't so popular among gamers and critics alike. Sonic Team should really take their cue from Nintendo concerning the New Super Mario Bros. Wii game and make a game that's essentially a "throwback" of the Genesis Sonic games because those are the Sonic games people tend to remember in a positive way. Bejeweled Twist Buy Now

Bejeweled is probably one of the most addictive casual games of all time. It definitely sits up there with Tetris, Dr. Mario and Zuma.
The new trend in casual games has seen a whole mountain of bejeweled clones but now Popcap has decided to just put a spin (no pun intended) on their own game.

Bejeweled Twist is fun... but it's no Bejeweled.
The twist idea is a bit like some of the Rubic's cube spin offs in my day, they were fun... but they just weren't a Rubic's cube.
Instead of swapping gems that sit adjacent to each other you twist a set of 4 gems hoping that one of the gems in your group matches up with a gem outside of the group. At first it's a bit of guess work but it becomes second nature quickly. The problem is that it makes it much more difficult to plan out big combos and set up chains. You'll be grinning with pride a lot less during this game and overall it just feels a bit more like a chore after a while.

Like Bejeweled 2, Twist has better graphics, a new creepier voice and some advanced combo gems. It features a few different game modes as well but they still don't seem to help the game out much.
It almost feels like Popcap doesn't quite grasp the concept of what made bejeweled so successful.
A simple concept with a simple mechanic and gradually ramping difficulty curve.

If your a puzzle game fan you'll most likely enjoy this game but don't expect it to replace your favorite, especially if you've been playing Bejeweld Blitz, Twist will be entertaining for awhile but that's most likely all it will be. Star Wars the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes Order Now

I bought this as a deal of the day just to check it out. Unfortunately, it's a pretty horrible game. As far as the story - nothing terribly new. It's an interesting enough story involving most of your favorite characters from the tv series.

Where the game falls FAR short of expectations is the production value. The playability is rough across the board, with difficult to control characters and a LOT of glitches. This will be tough for younger players, who might get frustrated when it takes an hour to hit just the right spot on a droid to blow it up. In addition to being really hard to play, the design of the game is pretty poor. It looks like an early generation PS2 game with lackluster graphics, boxy characters and moderately non-interactive environments. And sadly, all 40 missions involve little more than button mashing - something we'd expect from a game in 1998. To top it off, players will be treated to a yappy Yoda, who constantly pops up on screen to offer tips - even near the end of the game. This gets a little old. Ok, a lot old.

All in all, this is a pretty bad game. It's just not fun. Adults will find it excruciatingly boring and kids will find it tough to play (and probably also boring). If it wasn't a Star Wars game, it would probably disappear in a month as a failure. But since it ties into the popular series, I'm sure many will find it a necessary, if not stellar, addition to their collection.

Pros: Decent story, good voice acting, familiar characters in a rich and colorful world.

It went on perfectly (although the instructions were a bit confusing at first, the actual protector has a film on both sides) But i cant even tell its there, and thats probably the only thing you can rate on a screen protector. You may be thinking its a bit much for $10, but it comes with two, and $10 is much better then the few small scratches on my PSP 200 which distorts the pixels around it making them all rainbow-y and distracting. Cheapest Lord of the Rings: Conquest

Very fun game, challenging and good content as far as Campaign and multiplayer/skirmish mode are concerned. Learning curve isn't bad at all, tutorial is very well done. Highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of the Star Wars: Battlegrounds games and/or the Lord of the Rings Franchise.

The gameplay for Band Hero is at least as good as Guitar Hero 5 and it's nice to have songs that are more kid-friendly (there is an option to temporarily hide downloadable content and content from previous versions, too). Guitar Hero's main problem now that there is substantially more music that transfers from one game to the next is that with hundreds of songs they need to look at sorting and listing options like Rock Band currently uses.
