I got Imagine Makeup Artist when I saw it at a store, thinking I'd enjoy it a lot because of the sheer cuteness of the style. And I was right!
At the beginning of the game, you're asked to choose the type of girl you want to be from three choices, but it doesn't really matter, because later on you'll be able to buy new hairstyles and outfits for your character.
The one thing is, it can get a little bit tedious scrolling through the game's large amounts of dialogue, especially the makeup lessons and tests. But the good thing about it is that the game controls are very easy to grasp quickly. You just use your stylus to apply mascara, eyeshadow, lipstick and so on.
I also enjoyed the fact that your character can hang out and go on dates with the three male characters in the game, who you can encounter by going to different spots around the town. If you go on enough dates, the boy's like of you will increase.
Image Makeup Artist certainly isn't for everyone. There are long spaces of dialogue, tough requests and the game is relatively short, since each month you are at Makeup Manor is divided into two section with a Weekend feature in between. (For example the game goes from Early September, to a Weekend, to Late September.) Its graphics are cute and relatively well-done, but at times the game is a bit repetitive because a lot of the requests are similar or the same. At times, it has minor glitches - if you click on one request, the request won't load and you'll have to turn off the game. However, the game overall was a great purchase, and three months later it's still fun!Get more detail about Imagine: Makeup Artist.
